It seems that so much of my work in the studio has been preparing for upcoming workshops. This weekend I have been making decorative papers for a painted journal workshop I will be teaching at a conference this week. The workshop is really short, only an hour, so we won’t have time to paint the papers and let them dry before making the little books, so I needed to pre-make some of each kind for the participants to use to learn the binding. I have tried making paste papers before and have not been very happy with how they turned out – but this weekend’s batch came out looking quite professional. I also did some wax resist papers with watercolours and some salt/watercolour papers too. Here’s a little peek.
After the workshops this week I will be posting a couple of tutorials. See you then!
